Research & Scholarship
As an emerging music scholar, I’m deeply interested in the stories embedded within musical scores, the cultural and historical contexts that shape vocal and choral repertoire, and the evolving performance practices across time. My work often lives at the intersection of gender, identity, and culturally responsive pedagogy. It is grounded in the concept of musicking—understanding music not just as sound but as a social act that builds community and affirms lived experience.
